KeyOnline & Online Loan Applications
KeyOnline is the secure online loan center for Key Education Resources (a division of KeyBank). KER customers can use KeyOnline to:
- Apply for loans
- Check credit decisions and loan status
- Sign their loan promissory notes
- Renew their loans
As lead user experience designer, I performed all interface and graphic design for the development of the online loan applications and several areas of the loan management center. I worked with the product owner, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to identify requirements, developed mockups and prototypes, and assisted developers in implementation.
Users
The users of KeyOnline are students in primary, secondary or graduate school and their families. Users are a wide range of ages, from teenagers to grandparents. They use a variety of platforms and browsers and many different screen sizes and resolutions. They typically use KeyOnline infrequently (once or twice per year), so the software must be easy to use for customers who may be unfamiliar with the loan application process and industry terminology.
